I Found Film in Grandma’s Point-and-Shoot Camera
This roll of film was developed 25ish years later. While Elainea and I were clearing out her Grandparents’ house, one of the many gems we discovered is Grandma’s point-and-shoot camera loaded with a roll of film (and leaked batteries). Who knew how long that film has been living in there. I busted out my film-changing tent to unload the film and had our local camera store develop it. The results are amazing. So many beautiful light leaks and a grain you simply can’t replicate.
She was a photography and painting hobbyist. These photos seem to have been snapped at the Maui Grand Wailea in the mid-late 90s.

Double Exposure Happy Accident
During my trip to the Philippines in 2001, I purchased a dozen rolls of no-name brand film with the intention to shoot with them well after they expired. 13 years later, I loaded them up in my 1970s Nikon FE SLR . This was a 3-year long experiment. I shot a roll of film; several years later, I rewound the film and shot again for a double exposure effect. I was curious to see the results of how playing with time, coincidence and juxtaposition can turn out. It resulted in fascinating light leaks, heavy grain and documentation of what two lifetimes can feel like. Double exposure took on a new meaning.
